If you want to store and sync files from your own web server or services such as OwnCloud, NextCloud, etc then you can use WebDAV. To keep communication between beorg and the server secure you should have a certificate configured. beorg won’t work with self signed certificates. You can obtain free certificates which work with beorg from letsencrypt.org.
